Dear DeepPavlov community,

13 is a strange, magic number in some cultures. In France it used to be seen as a lucky number. In some cultures its seen as an unlucky number. In the movie “Interstate 60: Episodes of the Road” (better known in Russia than in US), the protagonist had to press both “1” and “3” buttons in the elevator to reach the thirteen floor. …

This is a continuation of my Musings of AI & Space Enthusiast series. You can find the first post here. Like the first blog post, this one is also influenced by the “Education for Educated” book written by Anatoly Levenchuk. In this post I’d like to talk about things that help you to realize who the hell are you.

Well, my first blog was born on the now long dead Microsoft blog platform called TheSpoke.net, in Spring 2005, more than 15 years ago. Turns out I’ve got multiple blogs started and abandoned over the years. Some were killed because the platform died (TheSpoke.net, GotDotNet.ru) others because I’ve left the ship (two blogs…

Last week my trusty Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2nd Gen showed its age (it was bought in December 2017, and has been used almost non-stop across Russia in US ever since) and I’ve decided to move to a new PC. This time given the pandemics and work-from-home thing, my goal was to have a solid rig w/o compromises. The dream is to be able to host our AI Assistants/socialbots at least partially locally.

To give some…

Merry Christmas and happy new DeepPavlov Library Release in 2020, v0.14.0!!!

Back in September 2020 we promised to begin releasing components of our Alexa Prize 3 DREAM Socialbot. While we’ve shipped some of them as examples since that time, this is a special release for us as one of those components, Intent Catcher, is now a part of our DeepPavlov Library!
